Resemary Anderson

Dr. Rosemary Anderson is an Otago-based historian, and research assistant with Te Hau Kāinga. She had a similar role with the Marsden-funded project, “Mothers' darlings: Children of indigenous women and World War Two American servicemen in New Zealand and South Pacific societies”.

Rosemary's MA thesis examined the experiences of young Cook Island women migrating to New Zealand during World War Two. Her doctoral thesis was an environmental history of the Chatham Islands focused on feelings for place.
